Terms of Service

These terms define how you may use the MECK's Translator dashboard and the connected Discord bot services.

Scope

These Terms of Service apply to the web dashboard, bot capabilities, and related support and API services provided by MECK's Translator.

Current version: 2026-01-02. The version published at the time of use applies.

Service scope

The service includes in particular:

Configuration of server settings, permissions, rules, events, and polls through the dashboard.
Execution of configured bot features in Discord, including translation, moderation, and automation functions.
Integrations with third parties such as Discord, Stripe, and infrastructure providers for hosting, databases, caching, and monitoring.
Help Center, contact form, and product/status information available within the dashboard.

Your usage obligations

When using the service, you agree to the following:

You only use the dashboard for servers where you hold the required Discord permissions.
You keep your Discord account secure and do not share credentials or session information with third parties.
You comply with applicable law as well as Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
Abuse, disruption, limit circumvention, scraping, or attacks against availability and security are prohibited.
You ensure that uploaded or processed content does not infringe third-party rights and is lawfully used.
You do not process special categories of personal data or other highly sensitive information through the service without a valid legal basis and appropriate safeguards.
If minors are involved, you ensure compliance with all applicable youth-protection and consent requirements under local law and Discord rules.

Plans, billing, and payments

Paid features depend on your selected plan. Pricing and limits are shown in the dashboard.

Feature scope and usage limits depend on the active plan and any explicitly granted special conditions.
Subscriptions renew according to the selected billing interval unless canceled in time.
Upgrades and downgrades may take effect within an active cycle; details are shown during checkout and subscription management.
If payments fail, premium features may be limited or paused until billing issues are resolved.
Refunds are only granted where required by law or explicitly agreed on a case-by-case basis.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Stripe's terms for payment methods, invoicing, and fraud prevention apply in addition.

AI notices & responsibility

Parts of the service use AI models for translation, summarization, and related text processing. The following additional terms apply:

AI-generated output may be incomplete or inaccurate; we do not guarantee factual or linguistic completeness.
Bot responses do not constitute legal, tax, financial, or medical advice.
You are responsible for reviewing critical or published content for accuracy and suitability before relying on it.
We may continuously adjust safety, quality, and moderation mechanisms to reduce abuse and improve service quality.

Data processing & subprocessors

To provide the service, we process multiple categories of content, metadata, and operational data. Details and data-subject rights are described in the Privacy Policy.

Processed data includes Discord metadata such as server, channel, role, user, and interaction identifiers.
Depending on the feature, message content may be processed for translations, tickets, summaries, or published rules/embeds.
To enforce limits and evaluate product usage, we process metrics such as character consumption, feature calls, and activity events.
For billing and plan management, we process subscription and payment metadata (for example plan, status, invoice, or subscription references).
Operational, security, and error logs (including monitoring/alerting) are used for stability, abuse detection, and incident analysis.
We rely on service providers for specific processing steps (for example hosting, database, cache/Redis, monitoring, AI, and payment providers).
Data is retained only as long as required for operations, contract fulfillment, security, or legal obligations; afterwards it is deleted or anonymized.

Availability & operations

We operate the service with great care but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Maintenance, security updates, or third-party outages may lead to temporary restrictions.
Where feasible, planned changes and incidents are communicated through the status page or in-dashboard notices.
Service availability depends on third-party systems such as Discord, hosting, database, cache, and payment providers.
Configuration and operational data are processed according to our technical standards; exporting critical data remains your responsibility.

Liability

Liability is governed by statutory law with the following clarifications:

We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health.
In cases of slight negligence, liability is limited to breaches of essential contractual obligations and to foreseeable, typical damages.
We are not liable for service disruptions caused by force majeure or external circumstances beyond our control.
If you violate these terms or third-party rights, you may be required to indemnify us from resulting claims.

Term and termination

You may stop using the service at any time by discontinuing dashboard usage and removing the bot from your server.
We may temporarily suspend or permanently revoke access in case of material or repeated violations of these terms.
After termination, data no longer required is deleted or anonymized in accordance with privacy and retention obligations.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service when legal requirements, product features, or security needs change. Material updates are communicated in the dashboard or by email.
